Welcome to the SPC Blog
(Adrian Le Roux)
So here we go! After a bit of a delay I am excited to post our first ‘article’ on the official SPC Blog. A short welcome and introduction to share some information with you on what we hope to achieve with our Blog.
I have been fortunate to be involved in the strength & conditioning business for over 15 years. An interesting but very rewarding journey. I have heard and seen many things. I was able and privileged to meet a lot of good people. I made friends and build relationships. The one thing that I have learned from all of this is that you must learn from everything. Not necessarily apply everything but learn from everything. Ideas, concepts and methods come and go. Some are new and some are older but has proven themselves over time. Some are good and some are not. Some we agree with and some we don’t. Some we use for a while then realize it does not produce the results we are looking for. The Sports Performance Clinic (SPC) has literally grown each month since it started in January 2014. This tells us a few things. Number one is that we must be doing something right. Number two it reiterates that in our area there is a definite need for a strength & conditioning model but more importantly a model that is well presented and one that deliver results. Our concept is simple. Assist and guide each individual (social, amateur or professional) to achieve personal training and performance goals. Help them to go to the next level in their sport even if it is a small step initially. At SPC we assembled a great team of professionals to assist each client in the best possible way. And if we can’t help you we are not to proud not to refer you to someone that can. Were into small changes and big results rather than over-promising and under delivering.
In our multi-professional setup we run around with, and come across, new ideas almost on a daily basis. We believe that it is important that we are able to share some of these with our clients, supporters, followers and colleagues. What better way to do it than in a blog format. We hope and trust that the SPC blog will develop and grow into a valuable tool that will contribute to our success and yours.
